As paid subscribers to The Wild Mystery newsletter, I wanted to bring back a monthly feature for you…astropoetic horoscopes and remediations! As many of you know, one of the (million) hats I wear is that of archetypal astrologer and I have been a practitioner and educator in the realm of astrology for 25 YEARS. That is a whole lot of time before the social media pop astrology garbage infiltrated our psyche so my approach is nuanced and rich - we mine the gold in the shadows around here…your “worst” cosmic placements are absolutely my favorite part of your chart.
Years ago, I used to include horoscopes and remediations in my newsletter and I am bringing them back into the fold as a thank you for your support of this work. I have a small but mighty paid reader hive and I am grateful for you all every single day. I am currently teaching my year-long archetypal astrology training COSMOS and to have my life infused with such celestial magic is such a blessing. So I wanted to bring some of that blessing to you ✨
For this month, I invite you to read the horoscope for your moon sign - as we are in a deep place of inward astrological transformation and who we are when no one is looking is a juicy place for us to dive into. I include a horoscope and some kind of “prescription” - it might be a movie, a practice, a book - something that supports the cosmic waters you are currently swimming in. Enjoy!
Also: I’ve been deathly ill, so these are a few days after the moon, but these remediations are for the entire lunar cycle, so you have time to explore…
Aries Moon: There is so much here for you. More than you know. Don’t hold out for something better - what is in front of you is all you currently need.
Prescription: Send a text to someone just to say thank you. Be specific in what you are grateful for. Notice how it is received.
Taurus Moon: Why wait to say the thing? A whisper becomes a scream if we don’t listen close enough. Find the courage to say no to that thing. You know which one.
Prescription: Eat some fruit. Think about your favorite fruit and go find it. Eat it slowly - much slower than you usually would. See what arises.
Gemini Moon: Think of a time when you felt free. What conditions made that happen? What has changed? Reflect on how you can reclaim some of that spaciousness.
Prescription: Sit in the bath and cry. If you can’t cry easily, put on a song that makes you feel really sad. See the sadness and the bathwater as the same embrace.
Cancer Moon: This is your time to shine baby! Allow yourself the gift of nostalgia. It can be painful, or it can be nourishing - it’s up to you.
Prescription: Look at yourself in the mirror and find your favorite wrinkle. Spend a few minutes with it and give it a name. Imagine this wrinkle deepening with the blessing of growing older.
Leo Moon: Once it’s over, it’s over. No more keeping a window open for something that isn’t true. Close the leaks and invite completion to the table.
Prescription: Drink a cold glass of water and let it drip down your chin. Feel the “mistake” and then ask yourself: “what if this was exactly what was meant to happen?”
Virgo Moon: There is enough to go around. If someone else gets “The Thing”, that doesn’t mean you are less likely to get it. Remember how much overflow there can be when we loosen the grip.
Prescription: Stand on the earth with your barefeet. Allow your toes to dig down and feel the sensation of being a little bit feral. Remember this feeling.
Libra Moon: What is home to you? Where do you feel is a safe embrace? How can you spend more time in inner safety? Find ways to be home wherever you go.
Prescription: Read a poem by Mary Oliver out loud to a tree. Afterwards, sit close to them and listen.
Scorpio Moon: Why wait until later to name the desire? Close your eyes and imagine it is already here. Who would you need to be in order to receive that blessing?
Prescription: Listen to the wind for at least five minutes. Notice where you feel reluctance to step into your power…what is one thing you could do today to begin to reclaim it?
Sagittarius Moon: Who have you lost that you haven’t grieved yet? What are your parts waiting for? What happens when you get close to sorrow?
Prescription: Break a piece of pottery. Notice how your heart breaks too. Put it back together with glue. Notice how it will never be as it was before.
Capricorn Moon: It is time to take the leap. You will never be ready. Jump in anyway.
Prescription: Put your feet in warm water and take 10 deep breaths. Massage your toes - every single bone - and then make that choice you’ve been putting off.
Aquarius Moon: This month isn’t about you - it’s about what will happen after you are gone. What seeds can you plant now that will bear fruit in many generations?
Watch a film from your ancestral lineage. Notice where you recognize yourself in it. Find a burden expressed in the film and get curious about how you can work to heal it.
Pisces Moon: Delusion feels great until it doesn’t. Notice where fantasy runs your life and who it is doing a disservice to - including yourself. Honestly requires bravery.
Take a written inventory of places in your life where things are challenging. Ask yourself two questions: what is the payoff for this suffering? what would I have to lose in order to be happy?
